Students should Always be Respectful to all other students, families, and staff: ● Respect yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally ● Respect the beliefs, ideas, lifestyles, and opinions of others ● Respect the property of the school and of others ● Respond appropriately to adults in the community ● Understand that education is a privilege that must not be taken for granted
Students should Always be actively Engaged learners and leaders: ● Think critically, problem solve, communicate your ideas, and collaborate with others ● Participate, lead, and serve in your community ● Stay organized and focused on the tasks at hand ● Participate fully and wholeheartedly in the learning process ● Apply the skills you learn in the classroom outside of school
Students should Always be Accountable to themselves, their families, and the World: ● Take responsibility for your actions ● Demonstrate agency and ownership in your education ● Involve your parents and/or families in your learning ● Acknowledge personal misconduct and make amends ● Learn from mistakes and improve for the future ● Own your role as a citizen of the world ● Hold yourself and each one another accountable to high academic integrity (use your own thoughts and materials in the writing of papers, taking of tests, and all other classroom related activities).
Students should Always be Determined to succeed in whatever they set their minds to: ● Persist and never give up despite adversity and challenges ● Be in tune with your passions ● Be innovative and creative outside-the-box thinkers ● Learn to take risks in your learning ● Acknowledge any confusion and know how to ask for help ● Be goal-oriented, prepared and ready to push for success now, in high school, and in your college and career ● Strive for excellence in completing AG requirements, state, and college-required assessments
Students: you should always put forth Your Personal Best! ● Always consider your personal safety and the safety of others ● Consistently try to improve yourself, further developing any areas of strength and building on the areas which need improvement ● Set goals for improvement and reflect upon their progress
